Getting Started

Getting Started

Shaybah provides coordinated elderly care through doctor consultations, physiotherapy, nursing care, specialist and allied healthcare support, assessments, care planning, family communication, and ongoing care guidance. Our aim is to help families access the support an older adult needs through a more connected and continuous approach to care.

Simply contact our team and tell us about your elder's needs. We will understand your requirement, guide you through registration, and help you identify a suitable package or service.

Yes. Registration is generally required before accessing Shaybah services. Registration includes basic onboarding, creation of the patient's Shaybah record, and SOLACIA membership. The current registration fee is ₹1,000 inclusive of taxes, unless a promotional waiver or other exception applies.

Yes. An adult family member or another appropriately authorised person may assist with registration, booking, payment, and care coordination. Where the older adult is capable of making their own decisions, their consent and preferences remain important.

Yes. Shaybah is designed to help families remain involved even when they live away from the older adult. A Primary Decision Maker or appropriate family contact can be recorded for routine communication, appointments, payments, family updates, and care coordination, subject to the patient's consent and applicable authorisation.

Services and Packages

Services and Packages

You do not need to decide alone. Our team can understand the elder's health, functional needs, location, family situation, and type of support required before guiding you towards an appropriate care option. Clinical recommendations may also change after assessment depending on the elder's actual needs.

Sakha focuses on regular online doctor-led care. Bandhu provides scheduled doctor care at home. Gati focuses on home physiotherapy and mobility support. Sahara provides home nursing care. Parivaar combines multiple services through a more comprehensive and coordinated care plan.

Not necessarily. Certain services may be booked independently after registration, while others may be available as part of a package or as additional support to an existing care plan. Availability depends on the service, clinical suitability, location, and professional availability.

Yes. Additional consultations or services may be added when the elder's care needs evolve, subject to assessment where required, professional availability, serviceability, and applicable charges.

Shaybah packages have defined standard inclusions. However, care recommendations and certain service arrangements may be adjusted where clinically appropriate and operationally feasible. Any material change or special arrangement should be confirmed by Shaybah.

Elderly care needs can change over time. If an assessment indicates that a different service, additional support, or another level of care is required, our healthcare professional may recommend an appropriate change. Any additional chargeable service will ordinarily be discussed and approved before it is provided.

Not unless specifically mentioned as part of the selected service or package. Medicines, consumables, laboratory investigations, diagnostic imaging, medical equipment, ambulance services, hospitalisation, and other external services may be separately chargeable.

Package sessions and benefits should ordinarily be used within the applicable validity period. Unused sessions generally expire at the end of the validity period and cannot be transferred to another patient unless Shaybah specifically approves an exception.

Appointments and Care Delivery

Appointments and Care Delivery

Services may currently be requested through the communication channels made available by Shaybah, including phone and WhatsApp. A booking is subject to service availability, clinical suitability where applicable, geographic serviceability, and confirmation from Shaybah.

Yes. Wherever possible, rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Requests made closer to the appointment time may be subject to professional availability, operational feasibility, and the applicable cancellation and rescheduling policy.

We aim to maintain continuity with the same healthcare professional wherever reasonably possible. However, a particular professional cannot always be guaranteed due to availability, leave, scheduling, clinical suitability, or other operational requirements. If required, another appropriately qualified professional may be assigned.

Yes. You may communicate such preferences to our team, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them. However, availability of a specific professional or a professional of a particular gender cannot be guaranteed.

Online and Home-Based Care

Online and Home-Based Care

Online services are available across India, subject to clinical suitability and professional availability. Home-based services are currently available in Thane, Maharashtra, with expansion to Mumbai and Pune planned subsequently.

No. Teleconsultation is appropriate only when the treating healthcare professional considers remote assessment suitable for the patient's condition. If physical examination, investigations, hospital assessment, or another form of in-person care is required, the healthcare professional may recommend the appropriate next step.

A doctor may prescribe medicines through teleconsultation where it is clinically appropriate and legally permitted. However, an online consultation does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued. The doctor may recommend an in-person assessment where required.

Safety and Emergency Care

Safety and Emergency Care

No. Shaybah is not an emergency medical service or ICU-level care provider. If an immediate medical emergency occurs, please contact local emergency services or visit the nearest appropriate hospital without waiting for a routine Shaybah consultation or response.

The treating healthcare professional may recommend escalation to a hospital, emergency service, specialist, investigation, or another appropriate level of care where clinically necessary. Where reasonably feasible, Shaybah may assist the family with coordination, but emergency availability or hospital admission cannot be guaranteed.

Family Involvement and Communication

Family Involvement and Communication

The Primary Decision Maker, or PDM, is the principal person recorded by Shaybah for routine care coordination, appointments, communication, payments, and other administrative matters. Being a PDM does not automatically give unrestricted authority over the patient's medical decisions or medical information. The patient's consent and applicable legal authority continue to apply.

Yes, where appropriate and with the patient's consent. Family members, caregivers, or the Primary Decision Maker may participate in consultations, family updates, and care coordination where authorised and clinically appropriate.

SOLACIA

SOLACIA

SOLACIA, Shaybah Online Learning And Communication In Ageing, is Shaybah's community initiative for older adults, families, caregivers, and others navigating ageing. It provides a space to learn, connect, share experiences, access educational content, and participate in community discussions.

Yes. Lifetime SOLACIA membership is included with Shaybah patient registration. For non-patients, family members, and others who wish to join independently, the current membership is available for a one-time contribution of ₹499.
