The Birth of an Idea
While taking care of my bedridden grandfather back in 2007, for almost seven years until the end of his life, my father had a realisation during that time. If he being a medical professional found it so difficult, what about other people? Elderly phase requires special care which many people find it difficult to provide to their parents. This led to the foundation of Companion Healthcare Foundation™ in 2013, and Golden Care™ in 2016, the geriatric care centres which focused on palliative and end-of-life care for the elderly.
Now with all these years of experience in geriatric care, me and my father had another realisation, that there is still a section of geriatric population whose needs aren’t yet addressed. Those who are still at home. Due to issues they might not have been vocal about. Or maybe they don’t have someone by their side to listen and care.
This idea gave birth to Shaybah™.
